More Bags

I made a couple of more bags I thought I'd share.  The first is another Nikki Tote Bag for my sister:

Some outdoor decor weight fabric.  Said dry clean only and shrank a bit when I ironed the interfacing onto the handle pieces.  Hopefully if it ever needs to be washed it will survive ok!

Some strange polyester/mix fabric I had in my stash.  I only did the standard pockets, plus a zipper pocket.  And a magnetic closure.

Since my sister is living with our Aunt over the summer, I decided to make her a bag too, but wasn't sure what kind of bag would suit her best.  So I made her a cloth shopping bag following this tutorial:

Been hording the blue fabric for quite a while, but it was perfect for my Aunt!  The inside was a simple brown print from my stash (the bag is reversible, should she want a more muted look).
Sent them out together as a surprise, and made their day when they arrived.

In other news, we've decided to sell our house and move back to the city.  This means most of my available time will be spent fixing up/cleaning/organizing the house, rather than working on sewing projects!  I've started a small backpack for Arden though, and will post it when I'm finished...but at the rate of 15-30 minutes of working on it a few times a week, it may take many weeks!  And though I had been hoping to work on a mini quilt after it, my batting scraps are still at my mom's house, so I'll just brainstorm ideas until I get it back.
