I've caught a cold from my kids (I'm actually more surprised when I
don't catch their illnesses, they are little typhoid marys!), but wanted to stop by because today is the last day of voting over at
The Bloggers Quilt Festival! If you haven't voted yet, please do! I have two quilts entered (the
TARDIS is the
Home Machine Quilted category and
Pandorica Opens in the
Art Quilt category). My TARDIS quilt also made it into the
Viewer's Choice nominations (an honor to be voted in out of the 650 entries!).
Last weekend I went to a quilt show with my mom, pretty much with the intention of test driving some long arm machines (a distant dream). I had my mom take some photos!

Trying out a Gammil |

An A1. |
I tried out a Gammil and a Handi Quilter too. I'm not at all in the market for one yet, but wanted to know if they handled and performed like I imagined. It was fun!
These little bees have been buzzing around this week--destined for a wall hanging. Find the
pattern here.
Look at your concentration! Love it!! Those bees are too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteI've loved that bee pattern from day one, but yours are almost too cute to resist! Must stay strong and stick to the commitment schedule. Maybe I'll eek a little time for a few of these. :D
ReplyDeleteCute bees, but it's your facial expression in the picture with the A1 that really got my attention! You look like you mean serious business. I voted for your quilts, so good luck, and get well too!
ReplyDeleteLove the bees! Ahhh, the longarm dream...I'm with you, but don't know if it's really my forte. Fun to try though!

Looks like you had a good time test driving those machines!! Love the bees! Can't wait to see what you have in store for them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an intense look of concentration - love it! A long arm is a dream... a far, far distant dream. What did you think? Was there one that felt right?
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog via the Pin of your most recent Dr. Who quilt and I love it <3 I agree that a long arm machine would be absolutely amazing! Some day...
ReplyDeleteYou need a longarm. I mean, budget and space and right right sure. But you do such wonderful things with your Janome that I know you would really rock a longarm!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Those bees are cute! I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWow, That's some major machinery. Thanks for sharing the pics, they're great. Cute bees, too.
ReplyDeleteYou should so buy one! That would be awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteThose bees are ridiculously adorable... but not as fabulous as that machine.
