Mountain Camping Mini II: GIVEAWAY! **CLOSED**

Mountain camping mini quilt, measures about 12"x12"

A couple of months ago I shared my first ever (and free!) paper piecing pattern: Mountain Camping.  In developing and testing the pattern I made several extra blocks.  I finally finished this one, and am giving it away to a lucky blog reader or instagram follower!

Full disclosure: The tent is a little over-stuffed, so despite my best attempts the quilt does not lay flat!  I won't be using that trapunto method again.

  1. OMG, I love your quilts! I was just telling my friend Claire at UNM, who apparently knows you through Alexis, that you're a talented quilter. So hmm, favorite place to camp. I guess I'd say Zion or Canyonlands were my favorite camping places ever. I also loved Sequoia National Park. Here in NM, I'd choose Fenton Lake or as a favorite hike- Tent Rocks. But we've got so much more exploring to do.

  2. My favorite place to camp is Armstrong Redwoods close to Sebastopool, CA. It's at the top of a one way road, in the midst of tall redwood trees. A short drive down the hill takes you to a lazy flowing river to play in.

  5. My husband bought a camp 3 years ago. I'm trying to embrace camping as I was not raised a camper...but we keep taking trips to vacation spots and "camping" in parking lots essentially!! Yuk! I think I'd prefer pitching a tent in woods and unplugging! Thanks for a chance this would be a great gift for my husband's office!

  6. I love camping! I'm still a little disgusted that our weather this past summer was so crappy that we only managed one camping trip, but that one trip was to a gorgeous provincial park. Actually, my two favourite places to camp are both provincial parks - Blow-Me-Down park and Sandbanks park.

I've never tried trapunto, though I'm intrigued by it. One of these days I'll give it a try. Thanks for the chance to win your camping quilt!

  9. I have such good memories camping in Point Reyes National Seashore. The trailhead is only about an hour from my house. The mini is so cute! I've been intrigued by this project all along.

  10. I love camping...tenting, motor home, doesn't matter to me! My favorite place to spend a few weeks is winter camping at Guadalupe River State Park in Tx. I can leave my site in the morning and not return until supper time every day.
